Ensuring client confidence with attention to detail

A talented wealth advisor skilled at high-touch client care and level-headed solutions, Calvin is passionate about helping Grand Wealth clients navigate the complexities of managing wealth and delighting them with fresh ideas that help them reach their goals.

On any given day, you'll find Calvin digging into the details of a client's financial planning, investment management, or tax questions. He knows the importance of keeping an eye on the big picture when reviewing the details, and this helps him to provide practical advice to clients.

National experience, Midwest integrity

Before joining Grand Wealth, Calvin was part of the wealth management group for a national financial services bank for seven years. There, he supported its financial planning, estate planning, and trust administrative service offerings.

Having grown up in the Midwest, Calvin describes himself as practical and even-keeled. “I was attracted to the comprehensive approach Grand Wealth Management takes with its clients. There’s a local feel, but a high level of service that appeals to me.”

Calvin earned his bachelor of arts degree in business finance and economics from Calvin University and his master of science in taxation from Grand Valley State University. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Calvin’s passion for service goes beyond Grand Wealth Management. Each spring, he enjoys volunteering with Heart of West Michigan United Way to prepare income tax returns for others in the Grand Rapids community. Calvin also enjoys supporting community endeavors by serving as a board member for the Fulton Street Market, a committee member for the Financial Planning Association of Michigan, and a member of the Western Michigan Estate Planning Council. This hands-on experience helps him guide clients as they plan their giving around values-aligned causes and organizations.

Spreading the wealth

Calvin applies his many years of experience with his belief in the power of wealth to do good. He says, “Wealth is a gift to be shared with others. Sharing wealth with family, friends, and the community brings me joy and contentment that I don't get from spending it on myself.”

This belief, partnered with the goal of providing compassionate guidance, fuels his work each and every day.

“Providing a high level of service isn’t just important to me, it’s key to the culture at Grand Wealth. Everyone deserves to be treated with care and respect, and I try to show that to all of our clients, staff, and vendors everyday.”
