What began as a deep personal interest in finance and investing became Tyler’s profession when he joined Grand Wealth in 2021. Prior, while serving as a successful litigation attorney, he’d started looking more seriously at finance as an alternative career path – but only if he could find the right fit.
“Grand Wealth’s thoughtful leadership and team atmosphere especially appealed to me,” says Tyler. “It felt like a place where I could hit the ground running, learning from the best, while contributing my background, education, and communication skills.”
As a member of our financial advisor team, Tyler evaluates investment strategies and solutions behind the scenes and provides financial planning analysis and support. He also participates in client meetings and addresses client questions and requests as needed.
Tyler’s legal career began in the railroad industry. He served as a judicial law clerk for the State of Illinois, and then for a firm defending doctors and hospitals against medical malpractice suits. During this period, he took (and passed) the Series 65 uniform investment advisor law exam, in preparation for turning his investment “hobby” into a profession.
A native of Illinois, Tyler is an avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys all that West Michigan has to offer. He prefers summer to winter, but his husky mix pup, Bud, makes sure he gets out year-round. Tyler also played baseball while attending Bradley University for his undergraduate degree and has coached youth sports.
