Financial Advisor

Describing his path to Grand Wealth as “an interesting journey,” Nick set his sights on becoming a financial advisor while still in high school. Three academic degrees and a few other experiences later, Nick’s diligent networking led him to our door in the summer of 2020. He joined our team in 2021.

“I have always wanted to be a financial advisor,” says Nick. “But not if it meant having to sell products whether someone needed them or not. Focusing on what’s right for the client is so important to me. When you do the right thing, I truly believe it develops into the best for both of you anyway.”

A natural conversationalist and team player, Nick participates in client meetings and assists with client financial planning items and analysis. He also reviews client investment strategies and monitors client portfolio needs.

Nick brings a rich educational and professional background to Grand Wealth. He’s been a credit analyst, client service coordinator, production manager, and account executive across several industries. He holds an MBA from Grand Valley State University, a bachelor’s degree in finance from Davenport University, and a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Grace Bible College. He also is a multi-year award recipient in Western Michigan’s Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) business case study competitions.

Nick credits his strong work ethic to growing up on a farm and working in his family’s retail nursery in Hudsonville, where he learned a great deal from “the school of hard knocks.” Today, he lives in Allendale, where he is active in his church community. In his leisure time, he enjoys basketball, football, running, and yoga. But his favorite activity is going on walks with his wife Courtney and their daughter Vivian Grace, whom they both adore.
