What does 2020 have in store for investors in general, and influential West Michigan women in particular? Anastasia Wiese, JD, CFP® shared her insights in the December 2019 issue of “West Michigan Woman.” Describing potential challenges and opportunities for the year ahead, Anastasia said, “While no one has a crystal ball to help predict the future, understanding where we are now helps to bring comfort on what to expect moving forward.”
As usual, the 2020 economic outlook contains areas of concern (such as continued trade tensions between U.S. and China) as well as reasons for optimism (such as strong economic fundamentals, and historically low unemployment).
In this context, Anastasia suggested West Michigan women could focus on related areas of personal financial growth. For example, women may want to look into refinancing their mortgages or other loans if relatively low interest rates remain unchanged. Also, given an employee shortage in West Michigan, 2020 may be an excellent time to revisit career goals and opportunities.
