When we decided to add an executive assistant at Grand Wealth, Dori’s solid experience grabbed our attention. But it was her egarness to make an impact and warm personality that sealed the deal. Dori joined us in June 2021, and promptly began lightening the load for our firm’s executive team. Serving as their extension, she organizes their calendars, supports our operations, networks with service providers, and manages any other administrative duties that may arise.
“I love being with a firm where I get to use my brain everyday,” says Dori. “I also enjoy acting as our executives’ ‘protection agency,’ fending off daily distractions, so they can dedicate their time to strategic planning and client interaction.”
Before joining Grand Wealth, Dori was an executive administrative assistant for a well-known Grand Rapids real estate investment firm for more than 12 years. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Temple University.
Before settling in Grand Rapids, Dori and her husband lived and raised their three children in several states—including Pennsylvania (where they met), Colorado, and Idaho. With the kids now grown, Dori is learning to golf. She also enjoys gardening, and playing with their “empty nester” adoptee, an Australian labradoodle named Yogi (after her favorite ballplayer, Yogi Berra). Fun fact, a childhood uncle taught her how to whistle loudly in Yankee Stadium, so if you ever need to grab someone’s attention, Dori’s got you covered.
