Jeffrey S. Williams, CFP®, CIMA®, AIF®, CPA/PFS
Jeff Williams founded Grand Wealth Management in 2004 to offer clients independent, objective financial advice—along with personalized service—to help them achieve their financial goals. He has been counseling wealthy families, business executives and senior executives on their investment, tax, retirement and estate planning matters for nearly 30 years.
Jeff is dedicated to providing clients of Grand Wealth Management with the highest level of expertise and service. As a recognized expert in the areas of financial and tax planning and investments, he has frequently been quoted in local and regional media. Jeff has also been a guest speaker for numerous groups, including the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Western Michigan Estate Planning Council and the Estate Planning Council of Northern Michigan.
Jeff is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) professional and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation through the Investment Management Consultants Association and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Jeff has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Grand Valley State University.
Prior to founding Grand Wealth Management, Jeff was a Principal with Ernst & Young for 18 years. He served as director of Personal Financial Counseling Services for the West Michigan practice and director of Investment Advisory Services for the Lake Michigan Area, which included the Chicago market. In this capacity, Jeff directly supervised over $475 million of client investments.
Ellen A. Winter, CFP®
Ellie Winter joined Grand Wealth Management as a Principal in 2006. She has over 32 years’ experience working with individuals and families on their personal financial needs and providing financial and benefit plan education to corporate employee groups.
Ellie's area of expertise is helping clients understand the role their employer-provided benefit plans—including retirement, health care, disability and other group benefits—play in their financial well-being. She is also committed to helping women of all ages and circumstances achieve financial security.
Ellie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) professional and holds the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designations from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Hope College and a Masters in Management from Aquinas College.
Before joining Grand Wealth Management, Ellie was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Human Capital group for nine years. While there, she developed and managed financial education and counseling programs for employee and executive groups. Previously, she worked for 14 years in the Institutional Trust and Private Banking groups at several West Michigan area banks.
Steven A. Starnes, CFP®
Senior Financial Advisor
Steve Starnes joined Grand Wealth Management in 2015 as a Senior Financial Advisor with over 11 years’ experience in personal finance. He is dedicated to providing objective, unbiased advice so his clients can pursue and enjoy their passions and interests.
Steve has a special interest in helping families deal with the financial challenges related to long-term care, and has been quoted in numerous national publications including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Morningstar, USA Today, Time and Consumer Reports. Steve has been recognized for his contributions to the financial services industry by InvestmentNews ("40 Under 40" in 2015), the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area (Financial Planner of the Year in 2012), and Washingtonian magazine (Top Advisor in 2014).
Steve is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Before joining Grand Wealth Management, Steve was a financial advisor and partner at Savant Capital Management in the Washington, DC area.
Douglas A. Johnson
Doug Johnson has been with Grand Wealth Management since 2012. He is a member of the client service team and handles implementation and management of investment portfolios.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Kentucky University.
Prior to joining Grand Wealth Management, Doug was an Investment Operations Associate at Legacy Trust. He previously worked at Fifth Third Bank and the Cincinnati office of Legg Mason Investment Counsel.
Nicole K. Lam
Nicole Lam joined Grand Wealth Management in 2011. She is a member of the client service team, responsible for account administration and portfolio operations.
Nicole holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Economy University – Saigon and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hanoi University.
Before joining Grand Wealth Management, Nicole was a Trust Operations Specialist with Macatawa Bank for 10 years. She also has international work experience, spending six years with Oriental Commercial Bank in Saigon.
Janelle N. Anderson
Janelle Anderson joined Grand Wealth Management in 2011, and is responsible for office administration and financial analysis.
Janelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Grand Valley State University.
Prior to joining Grand Wealth Management, Janelle was an Advisor Associate and Marketing Coordinator with Waddell & Reed for five years.
